The UAE said Tuesday that its air defense systems were responding to incoming missile and drone threats from Iran, marking the second day in a row that it has come under attack.
The Emirati Ministry of Defense says its air defense systems were “actively engaging with missiles and UAV threats.”
On Monday, Emirati air defenses intercepted 12 ballistic missiles, three cruise missiles, and four drones launched from Iran on Monday, resulting in three moderate injuries. The UAE said it reserved the “full and legitimate right” to respond to the latest Iranian attacks.
Also Monday, the UAE condemned an Iranian drone attack on an ADNOC oil tanker in the blockaded Strait of Hormuz, as the United States prepared to begin escorting ships through the waterway.

The United States assumes that the ceasefire with Iran remains in effect, despite the US military operation in the Strait of Hormuz, US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said at a briefing.
ReplyDelete"No, the ceasefire is not over," he stated. "Ultimately, this is a separate and distinct project," Hegseth pointed out, referring to the operation in the Strait of Hormuz. "Ultimately, the president is going to make a decision whether anything were to escalate into a violation of a ceasefire. But certainly we would urge Iran to be prudent in the actions that they take, to keep that underneath this threshold [of breaking the ceasefire]," the Pentagon chief noted. "Right now, the ceasefire certainly holds, but we're going to be watching very, very closely, absolutely," Hegseth stressed.
Trump may order the resumption of military operations against Iran this week, Axios reported, citing sources in the US and Israeli leadership.

Irán NIEGA haber realizado un ataque reciente contra EAU
DeleteThe Iranian Armed Forces have not conducted any military operations against the UAE in recent days, but are ready to respond decisively to any aggression from the Emirates, Ebrahim Zolfaghari, a representative of the central command of the Iranian armed forces, has stated.
Delete"The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran have not carried out any missile and drone operations against the UAE in recent days, and if such actions had taken place, we would have announced them decisively and openly. Therefore, the report of the Ministry of Defense of this country is categorically rejected and has no basis," the Mehr agency quoted him as saying.
Zolfaghari emphasized that if any military action is taken from the territory of the UAE against Iranian islands, ports, or the Iranian coast, Tehran will deliver a crushing response.
