Ankara rules out invoking the Mecca Defense Pact in response to Houthi attacks

The Turkish Foreign Ministry indicated that the activation of the defense mechanism is not currently under discussion. 

Ankara believes Saudi Arabia has sufficient capacity to defend itself and is monitoring the situation.

Turkey clarified that any potential involvement would be strictly defensive.
