"The Azov battalion is involved in clashes in the area of Shirokino, Basurin said. "The militias are in control of the village."
Last night the Ukrainian forces lost 15 men killed and as many injured, he said, adding that two mortars were destroyed.
"Debaltsevo is fully encircled," Basurin said. "At the moment clashes are underway in the area where we cut the road, and also around Uglegorsk and in the West, where we are clearing territories."

Mariupol/Moskau/KiewEinen Tag vor dem geplanten Ukraine-Gipfel in Minsk haben ukrainische Truppen nahe der Hafenstadt Mariupol im Süden des Landes eine Offensive gegen prorussische Separatisten begonnen. Sicherheitsratssekretär Alexander Turtschinow sei selbst in der Region, um die Truppen der Nationalgarde zu führen, teilte der Nationale Sicherheitsrat im Dienstag in Kiew mit.
Auch das Freiwilligenregiment Asow beteiligte sich nach eigener Darstellung an dem Vorstoß. Separatists claim to surround key Ukraine town ...
ReplyDeletePro-Russia separatists in eastern Ukraine say they have completely surrounded the strategic town of Debaltseve, a claim denied by the Ukrainian army who insist the fighting is ongoing.
The self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) on Tuesday said its fighters have cut off the main supply road into the government-held town - which is in between the separatist hubs of Luhansk and Donetsk.

ReplyDeleteAu moins six civils ont été tués dans un bombardement au lance-roquettes multiples ayant frappé mardi le principal QG militaire ukrainien dans l'Est, portant à 20 morts le bilan des dernières 24 heures en Ukraine, a-t-on appris officiellement mardi.
Le principal quartier général des forces ukrainiennes dans l'est de l'Ukraine, à Kramatorsk, "a été touché par des tirs au lance-roquettes multiple Tornado", a déclaré le président ukrainien Petro Porochenko devant les députés lors d'une séance au parlement.
Six personnes ont été tuées et 21 blessés dans ce bombardement, ont indiqué les autorités régionales pro-Kiev. Il n'était pas possible d'obtenir dans l'immédiat l'information sur d'éventuelles victimes militaires.
