A spokesman for the Russian Investigations Committee told TASS Goncharenko was being interrogated on the case of crimes against a Russian citizen during the Odessa massacre in May 2014. "A Russian Investigations Committee investigator who is probing into the criminal case launched on charges of attempted murder and torturing a Russian citizen during the tragic developments in Odessa on May 2, 2014 has arrived at the police station to interrogate Goncharenko," the spokesman said.
In the meantime, the Antimaidan movement said in a statement that Goncharnko had taken part in the massacre of the movement’s activists in Odessa on May 2, 2014, when 48 people died in fire at Odessa’s House of Trade Unions. A criminal case was opened in Russia over an attempt on the life of a Russia citizen who happened to be at the House of Trade Unions in Odessa. http://tass.ru/en/world/780324

Ukrainian lawmaker Alexei Goncharenko who was detained in central Moscow on Sunday has been released from the police station, his lawyer Nikolai Polozov said...
ReplyDelete"Alexei Goncharenko has been released from the Kitai-Gorod police station," he said.
Goncharenko is currently staying at Ukraine’s embassy in Moscow, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said late on Sunday after a conversation with Goncharenko.
"Alexei Goncharenko is already in the territory of the Ukrainian embassy to Russia. I have just had a telephone conversation with him," Poroshenko wrote on his Twitter account.
Lawmaker has been summoned to appear before court that will consider the administrative case of his disobeying police, Goncharenko’s lawyer Mark Feigin told TASS.
"A protocol was issued on charges of Goncharenko’s committing an administrative offence of disobeying police officer /article 19.3 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offences/. Court hearings will be held tomorrow," Feigin said.
The lawyer said being a member of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada /parliament/ and a delegate of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe /PACE/, his client enjoyed international immunity. "The court tomorrow is to cease administrative procedure on the case," he said.
