Major airstrikes "mistakenly" hit civilians and local police by US, NATO

The following is a list of major airstrikes "mistakenly" hitting civilians and local police by the United States and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) since 2011.

The air strikes by US military "mistakenly" hit the hospital of an aid agency Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) in Afghanistan northern Kunduz province on Oct. 3, 2015, killing at least 22 civilians, including three children.

At least ten civilians have been killed in a NATO airstrike on a pickup truck carrying women and children in eastern Afghanistan on Sept. 7 2013.

The airstrike by the US military on Dec. 10, 2012 hit a police station in norther Afghanistan, killing six policemen and one civilian, with another 11 wounded.

Up to 13 civilians, mostly women and children, were killed in a NATO airstrike on July 7, 2011 in the eastern Afghan province of Khost.

A NATO airstrike in southern Afghan province of Helmand killed 14 civilians including women and children on May 29, 2011.
