Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that all militants that remain in eastern Aleppo are Jabhat al-Nusra's accomplices.
All militants remaining in eastern Aleppo, Syria are accomplices of the terrorist group banned in Russia formerly known as the Nusra Front, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Monday.
"The fact that Western media admits that Jabhat al-Nusra is at the head of [attacks on government forces]… once again convinces us that all the other fighters in eastern Aleppo, one way or another, wittingly or unwittingly, are Jabhat al-Nusra's accomplices.
And if they do not take direct part in hostilities, they associate with it nonetheless," Lavrov told reporters.
