Fatah al-Sham Front (the newly-formed al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist group previously known as the al-Nusra Front) refused UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura's call on the militant groups to pull forces out of the Northern city of Aleppo.
"Fatah al-Sham will not leave Aleppo city. The group's leadership has not agreed De Mistura's demand for evacuation of it fighters from the city," the terrorist group's spokesman Hesam al-Shafi said.
On Thursday, De Mistura called for safe evacuation of militants from the war-hit city of Aleppo.
De Mistura, in a meeting with his top advisor, said that around 8,000 militants from Fatah al-Sham and other terrorist groups were trapped in Aleppo and called for their immediate evacuation from the city.
De Mistura underlined his own readiness to accompany the leaving militants from Aleppo to Idlib province.
Syrian army had previously announced that it would guarantee safe passage of terrorists from Aleppo.
