An improvement in relations between Turkey and Russia doesn’t mean that "Ankara is ready to change its position on Syria and (President) Assad," Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Thursday after a meeting between the Gulf Cooperation Council and Turkey in Riyadh.
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir, in turn, expressed hope that "the improved relations between Moscow and Ankara will have a positive impact on the solution of the Syrian crisis."
Earlier Cavusoglu had called upon the Russian authorities to "halt bombardments and ease the humanitarian aid deliveries to Aleppo."
