Vienna calls for end to Turkey's EU membership negotiations after referendum

The Austrian government on Monday called on the European Union to end negotiations with Turkey on its possible accession to the bloc in light of a referendum result on constitutional reform that would afford greater powers to the president of that country.


Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz said the outcome of Sunday's referendum went against EU principles.
