DPR’s trophies don’t yet include heavy weapons from NATO’s latest shipments — official - TASS

The forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic haven’t yet captured any heavy weapons that were supplied by NATO for the Ukrainian armed forces, Deputy Head of the DPR’s People’s Militia Eduard Basurin said on Friday.

"We haven’t encountered heavy weapons yet," he said on Channel One television. "Consequently, we haven’t yet captured the type of weapons that was supplied by NATO. That could happen in the near future."

Basurin said the DPR could soon face T-72 tanks that Ukraine was given by Poland.

On Friday, Polish Radio reported that the country's government sent more than 200 Soviet T-72 tanks and several dozen infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine.
