The participants of a special session of the UN General Assembly have adopted a resolution on establishing an international register of damage that Russia has allegedly inflicted on Ukraine.
The resolution also recognizes the need to establish a mechanism for reparation for loss.
The resolution was passed by a 94-14 vote, with 73 abstentions.
Russia’s UN envoy Vasily Nebenzya said at the start of the debate that the resolution was aimed at legalizing the seizure of the Russian assets that had been frozen by Western countries earlier.
