Aftershocks hamper rescue operations in Kahramanmaras province — Emergencies Ministry

Continuing aftershocks, huge piles of debris and wobbly structures complicate the work of Russian rescuers in the earthquake-hit Kahramanmaras, the Russian Emergencies Ministry told TASS on Tuesday.

"The rescuers have to deal with huge piles of debris, ruined buildings and wobbly structures amid ongoing aftershocks. Russian personnel work with maximum efficiency. The scale of destruction is catastrophic. Every minute is precious for saving lives," the ministry’s press service said.
