Canada’s sanctions on Russian individuals remind diplomat of Third Reich policies

 The sanctions slapped on Russian individuals by Canada on Friday are similar to Third Reich attempts to silence the voice of reason, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote on Telegram.

According to Zakharova, "The [latest] Canadian sanctions on Russian reporters and performers can be compared to the attempt by the Third Reich to destroy the `non-German spirit’ and silence the voice of reason by burning books and banning periodicals.".
