White House denies ‘flying balloons over China’

The US has not been flying balloons over China as Beijing maintains, US White House National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby said in an interview with MSNBC on Monday.

"Not true. Not doing it. Just absolutely not true," Kirby said. "We are not flying balloons over China," he added.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin told a briefing on Monday that US balloons have illegally entered Chinese airspace more than 10 times since last year.
