Iran’s Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani has traveled to Saint Petersburg to attend ceremonies marking the Day of the Russian Navy, and the Iranian Navy’s Caspian fleet has dispatched two vessels to Russia to attend naval parades.
Rear Admiral Irani arrived in St. Petersburg on Saturday to take part in the ceremonies marking the Day of the Russian Navy, which is celebrated annually on the last Sunday of July.
The naval event, which honors the sailors in units of the Russian Navy and its specialized arms, will be attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
