Russian Air Defense Downs Ukrainian Drone in Belgorod Region - MoD

 Russia's air defense systems have detected and intercepted a Ukrainian drone over the Belgorod Region on Monday afternoon, the Defense Ministry said, adding that the incident did not result in any damage.

"On August 21, at around 4:00 pm Moscow time [01:00 pm GMT], the Kiev regime made another attempt to carry out a terrorist attack using an aircraft-type drone. Russian air defense systems detected and destroyed an unmanned aerial vehicle over the territory of the Belgorod region," the ministry said in a statement, adding that the foiled terrorist attack did not result in "casualties or damage."
