Korean peninsula on ‘brink of nuclear war,’ North warns UN

North Korea told the United Nations on Tuesday that the peninsula was at risk of nuclear war, as it blamed what it called hostility by the United States.

“The military-security situation in and around the Korean peninsula has been driven closer to the brink of a nuclear war,” North Korea’s ambassador to the United Nations, Kim Song, told the General Assembly.[AFP]
