First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Chang Ho-jin invited Russian Ambassador to Seoul Andrei Kulik for a conversation at the country's Foreign Ministry after the visit of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to Russia.
“Ambassador Kulik said that he has listened carefully to our government’s position and will definitely report it to his government,” a statement on the official website of the South Korean ministry said.
Andrei Kulik was summoned to discuss military cooperation and arms trade between Russia and North Korea. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea called on Moscow to comply with the resolutions of the UN Security Council and not to continue further rapprochement with the DPRK in the military sphere.
