Russian Aerospace Forces hit three underground militant hideouts in Idlib, Syria with airstrikes

The Russian Aerospace Forces carried out airstrikes on terrorist targets, as a result of which three underground shelters of militants in Idlib were hit, said Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit, deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in the Arab Republic.

According to Kulit, during the day, three shelling attacks on the positions of government forces from the positions of the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group and Turkistan Islamic Party (both outlawed in Russia) were reported in the Idlib and Aleppo governorates in the Idlib de-escalation zone.

“The Russian Aerospace Forces carried out airstrikes on targets of terrorists involved in armed provocations. As a result of the strikes, three underground shelters of illegal armed groups in Idlib province were hit,” Kulit said at a briefing.

He clarified that the so-called international “coalition” led by the United States in Syria violated deconfliction protocols once within 24 hours. Also in the Al-Tanf area, 13 violations were recorded during the day by four pairs of F-15 fighters, two pairs of F-16 fighters and a coalition MQ-1C multi-role unmanned aerial vehicle.
