More than 3.4 thousand Palestinian children died in the enclave in less than a month of fighting. This was announced by UNICEF representative James Elder at a briefing in Geneva.
"Gaza has become a cemetery for children," Elder said.
According to Gaza's Ministry of Health, 3,450 children have died in the enclave during the current conflict. The UNICEF representative again appealed to Israel for a ceasefire and the opening of humanitarian corridors for assistance from the international community.
