An IDF division advanced deep into the Gaza Strip and took up positions on the coast

The 36th Division of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) advanced deep into the Gaza Strip and took up positions on the coast. The army press service reported this on November 5.

“As part of the expansion of ground operations over the past week, the 36th Division operated in the northern Gaza Strip and took up positions along the Gaza coast,” the report said.

The press service noted that the role of the 36th division is to encircle the forces of the Palestinian Hamas movement in the city. Its tasks also include striking the group’s military targets.
