Kiev consults with West on targets for strikes, including civilian facilities

The Kiev government seeks the West’s prior approval for targets of its strikes, including those delivered on civilian facilities and population, Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya told the UN Security Council on Wednesday.

"High-precision long-range Western weapons are used for the majority of the strikes. Ukrainian military commanders knew perfectly well where they were striking and that civilian facilities and population will be affected," he said.

He described Ukrainian strikes on civilian facilities as "deliberate and cynical crimes that have no statue of limitations."

"Top-level decision-makers of the Kiev regime, those who follow their orders and Western countries, who, as we know, approve targets for their strikes, will bear responsibility," the diplomat said.
