The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine demanded an explanation from Turkey due to the participation of a delegation from Yalta in a meeting of the international organization "United Cities and Local Authorities", the publication "Strana.ua" reported, citing the press secretary of the ministry Oleg Nikolenko.
“The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry demands an explanation from the Turkish side regarding the visit to Turkey of representatives of the Russian administration in Yalta,” the material states.
According to the publication, the Russian and Turkish sides also discussed the possibility of establishing sister city relations between Yalta and the municipal district of Istanbul.
