The Hezbollah movement announced the beginning of retaliatory actions for the Israeli strike on the outskirts of Beirut and the killing of commander Fuad Shukr.
"The Islamic Resistance is now in the highest state of alert and will firmly oppose any Israeli misdeed or aggression, especially if civilians are harmed. The punishment will be severe and very harsh," the statement said.
Earlier, the Israeli Defense Minister declared a “special situation” for 48 hours due to the situation on the border with Lebanon. The IDF high command operates in the underground command center "Karia".
