Times of Israel: Israel considers preemptive strike on Iran

Israel is considering launching a pre-emptive strike on Iran to contain it. This was reported by the Times of Israel following a meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and representatives of the defense department.

“Such a step will only be permitted if Israel receives accurate intelligence confirming that Tehran is about to launch its own attack,” the publication clarified.

In this case, Israel will make an analysis based on its intelligence and American intelligence. The meeting was attended by the country's Defense Minister Yoav Galant, Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces Herzi Halevi and other high-ranking military officials.

According to the US, Iran's attack on Israel could begin on Monday, August 5.

The night before, Tel Aviv announced preparations for a multi-day attack from Iran and the Lebanese Hezbollah movement; similar scenarios are associated with the assassination of the head of the Politburo of the Palestinian Hamas movement, Ismail Haniyeh, in Iran.

Tehran refused to soften its reaction to this event and promised to retaliate, despite the likelihood of war.
