Hezbollah deputy chief Naim Qassem on Tuesday said the Lebanese armed group’s military capabilities remained “fine” despite Israel’s heavy air strikes.
“You see that our daily accomplishments are great. Hundreds of rockets and dozens of aircraft (drones), a great number of (Israeli) settlements and cities have come under rocket fire... I would like to reassure you that our capabilities are fine.”
The Israeli military said on Tuesday its 146th Division had started what it called "limited, localized and targeted" operations against Hezbollah targets and infrastructure a day earlier in southwestern Lebanon.
Hezbollah said it had fired rockets at the city of Haifa in northern Israel.
ReplyDeleteThe Iran-backed group said it had launched a "large rocket salvo" at Haifa and its northern suburbs, after the Israeli military said "85 projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory".
Gaza's civil defence agency said an Israeli strike killed at least 17 people at a refugee camp in the centre of the territory, as Israel's military targets Hamas positions.
