Nicaragua breaks off diplomatic relations with Israel - Vice President

The Nicaraguan authorities are beginning the process of severing diplomatic relations with Israel, said the country's Vice President Rosario Murillo.

 She noted that the corresponding order was given by the country's President Daniel Ortega. Murillo also called the Israeli government "fascist and genocidal."

Earlier, Nicaraguan parliamentarians condemned and rejected the military actions of the Israeli government and called on the government to sever relations with this country.
