Court again rejects request from prosecutors to extend arrest of South Korean president

A Seoul court for a second time dismissed prosecutors' request for an extension of President Yoon Suk Yeol's arrest, Yonhap reported.

The Seoul Central District Court ruled there were insufficient grounds for extending the arrest that the prosecutors sought to conduct its own supplemental investigation.

The court previously rejected the request on January 24.
