France has hit out at Israel over a strike on a Tehran jail holding two French nationals and other Europeans.
"This is unacceptable," French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot wrote on X, although he said that the strike on Evin prison was not believed to have harmed French nationals Cecile Kohler and Jacques Paris.

Russia believes irresponsible US and Israeli policies laid the groundwork for the current situation around Iran, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said.

These are deeply disturbing and unacceptable manifestations of attempts to implement hegemonic techniques in relation to a sovereign country," he told reporters on the sidelines of the 11th International Scientific and Expert Forum "Primakov Readings."
Russia is actively collaborating with its Iranian counterparts and has initiated a draft resolution in the UN Security Council, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov announced during the 11th Primakov Readings - an international forum for scholars and experts.
