A deadly explosion has hit a mosque in a predominantly Alawite area of Syria's Homs, killing 8 people, authorities said.
"A terrorist explosion targeted the Ali Bin Abi Talib Mosque during Friday prayers in Al-Khadri Street in the Wadi al-Dahab neighbourhood of Homs," the "interior ministry" said in a statement, adding that 8 people were killed and 21 others wounded.
Homs was the scene of heavy sectarian violence during Syria's civil war.

ReplyDeleteEl incidente ocurrió en la mezquita Imam Ali bin Abi Talib, ubicada en el barrio Wadi al-Dahab de Homs, durante las oraciones del mediodía, el horario de mayor concurrencia. Los primeros reportes indican que se habría tratado de un atacante suicida o de explosivos dejados en el lugar.
