In Britain, citizens are being advised  to stock up on canned goods and drinking water, as well as to mentally prepare for a potential war.

The government reports an increased risk of armed conflict and urges the public to prepare for serious disruptions to daily life.

British high-readiness forces could be deployed  in the event of an attempt by Belarus and the Kaliningrad region to block the Suwalki Gap, which connects Poland to the Baltic states.

 Following Britain's lead, Germany is urging  citizens to prepare for war and participate in the country's defense.

Bundeswehr Inspector General Carsten Breuer stated that the armed forces alone are not enough to counter threats. According to him, in the event of a conflict, the entire industrial sector and society must join in Germany's defense.

"Without you, we soldiers are doomed to fail. But failure is not an option," he said.
