Iranian president says country will allow UN nuclear inspectors to return

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian tells US media that his country would allow UN nuclear inspectors into the country.

In an interview with CBS News, Pezeshkian said Iran would now allow UN nuclear inspectors back, affirming “that is absolutely correct” when asked if his country would permit access.

When further asked about previous restrictions on inspectors from the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency and whether they would be allowed in now, he repeated that the statement was correct, adding: 

“If they wish to come in and have inspections, we can reach accords and agreements vis-a-vis that specific topic within the negotiations.”
