Lavrov urges study of Russian military doctrine amid Polish plans to make Patriot missiles

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov urged that Russia’s military doctrine be studied closely, commenting on Poland’s plans to establish Patriot missile production in the country and the extent of Europe’s involvement in the conflict in Ukraine.

"We have a military doctrine on this matter, which President [of Russia Vladimir Putin] has cited repeatedly. I urge you to study carefully the relevant section of this crucial document," Lavrov told reporters on the sidelines of the 23rd annual meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club.

Earlier, Polish Deputy Defense Minister Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka said Poland had proposed that the United States establish joint production with Ukraine of missiles for Patriot air defense systems in a "safe location."
