Aleksandar Vučić announced that the body of the former Bosnian Serb army commander, who died in a prison hospital in The Hague, would be transported to Serbia late Thursday evening.
"I expect Darko, Mladić's son, to announce the family's intentions, and we will provide whatever transport and logistical support is needed," the Serbian president added.
Darko Mladić had previously spoken repeatedly of his father's wish to be buried at Belgrade's Topčider Cemetery, alongside his daughter Ana.
