Zelenskyy said on Tuesday that US President Donald Trump did not demand that Ukraine unilaterally stop strikes on Russia's energy infrastructure during talks that took place earlier in the day.
Speaking at a news conference on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly after his meeting with Trump, Zelenskyy said Ukraine was ready for an energy ceasefire on the condition that Russia stops strikes against Ukraine.
“We are ready for an energy ceasefire if the Russians do not strike our energy infrastructure,” he said.

Ukraine is ready for any form of energy ceasefire, and the United States will convey this message to the Russian side, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said following a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Pointing to Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refining capacity, Trump said, "The strikes inside Russia on the refining capacity and the diesel, it seems like that's been a serious hit on the Russians. It's also a serious hit on the price of diesel."
