British police have searched a number of properties in London and they have been winding down their investigation here near RAF Fairford and by Wednesday, expect the area to go fully back to normal.
A police presence does remain in the area right now and there is also a cordon. They went on to defend their decision to grant bail to those five suspects who were arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning, saying that decision was grounded in experience and careful consideration of policing powers
Earlier today, I spoke to a legal expert who explained that police do have the powers and do use those powers to keep terrorist suspects in police custody without charge for up to 48 hours, and that can be extended by up to 14 days.
