India is negotiating with Russia and Ukraine to ensure the safe passage of ships carrying grain and fuel in the Black Sea, announced Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, the South Asian nation's foreign minister.
"The negotiations [with Moscow and Kyiv] evolved into a discussion about not hindering the delivery of goods. Concern was expressed regarding grain exports, which had largely come to a halt in the Black Sea region. Consequently, the negotiations have taken on a broader scope. They are currently ongoing," the senior official stated.
The diplomat also noted that attacks on ships in the Black Sea are unacceptable.
