Israeli forces shell Quneitra province in southern Syria

The Israeli military opened artillery fire on a demilitarized zone in Quneitra Governorate, southern Syria, the Al Mayadeen TV channel reported.

According to the broadcaster, shell impacts were recorded in the countryside near the Al-Mantara dam. No civilian casualties have been reported.

Later in the day, an Israeli convoy of 12 military vehicles entered the village of Maariya, where a sweep operation was conducted across several neighborhoods in search of weapons caches and militants linked to radical groups. Eyewitnesses reported that two young men were detained during the searches.

In total, at least five incursions by Israeli forces were recorded in southern Syria over the past 24 hours. On Friday, additional military checkpoints were set up for security inspections in the villages of Buraykah, Jubata al-Khashab, and Al-Hamidiyah, sparking protests among the local population.
