Trump stated that the U.S. has the capability to seize all of Iran's oil and the country itself

The United States could, if it wished, seize all of Iran’s oil, and the country itself. This was stated by U.S. leader Donald Trump on October 23.

"Right now, there is very little Iran can do. If we wanted to, we could take all their oil, we could even take the whole country! All that oil could be ours," he told reporters.

In this way, the head of the White House addressed a question regarding whether the U.S. might be preparing for a protracted conflict in the Middle East. 

Trump noted that the Strait of Hormuz is entirely under United States control, and that the situation will not change, as it has reached a "dead end."

 According to Trump, inflation in Iran has reached 301%, the highest rate in the world, which points to the country’s decline; for this reason, the U.S. is “taking all the oil it wants” from there.
