Tusk stated that he intends to obtain a full explanation regarding the incident involving a drone that exploded near the Lithuanian-Latvian border. According to Polish media, the device entered Lithuanian airspace from the direction of Poland.
"I expect full cooperation from the Ukrainian side so that we can establish exactly what happened. Without emotion, and without assuming any malicious intent, I will nonetheless firmly insist on a comprehensive explanation," Tusk emphasized.
According to Tusk, Poland does not permit operations to be conducted on its territory or within its airspace, "regardless of who intends to carry out such operations."
He also stated that Lithuanian President Nausėda has arrived in Warsaw for talks regarding the incident.
