The coming winter will be very difficult for the European Union due to high energy prices, European Commission Spokesperson Anna-Kaisa Itkonen said at a briefing.
"We are headed for a very difficult winter with high prices first of all, affordability crisis and a very volatile, very unpredictable situation," she said. The Commission continues believing that the problem is in the price hike and not in difficulties with fuel deliveries and deficit, the spokesperson claims.
