IRGC warns any state helping US attack Iran a ‘legitimate target’

A top adviser for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that any state that helps the US in renewed attacks against Iran will be treated as a “legitimate target”.

Ali Reza Balali, the supreme adviser to the commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force, said: “In the event of a new aggression, any country or force that helps America attack Iran can be a legitimate target of the Islamic Republic,” state media outlet Al Alam reported.

Balali said Iran has manufactured weapons that could hit Israeli and US military facilities.

“Our missile bases have a suitable range to target the Zionist regime and American bases” using “indigenous weapons”, he said.

Iranian missiles previously hit Israeli military targets in the Negev and Dimona, and “enemy systems are not able to intercept it”, Balali said.

Gulf countries have braced for renewed US attacks on Iran since the US midterm elections ended, and Iranian counterattacks that could target American bases in the region.
