Egypte: l'UNESCO déplore les dégâts causés au patrimoine culturel.

Les pillages du Malawi National Museum de Minya et la destruction d'églises et de mosquées risquent de porter préjudice au patrimoine culturel de l'Egypte, a déclaré lundi la directrice générale de l'UNESCO Irina Bokova.

"Je condamne avec fermeté les attaques contre les institutions culturelles du pays et le pillage de ses biens culturels. Il s'agit de dommages irréversibles pour l'histoire et l'identité du peuple égyptien", a indiqué Mme Bokova dans un communiqué mis en ligne sur le site de l'UNESCO.

Considerable discussion has been generated recently concerning the problem of war reparations with regard to the destruction the German armies inflicted during WWII on the populations and the lands of the various countries that were occupied. Here we look at the special case of Greece. The Germans occupied Greece from April 1941 to October 1944.
I am not so much concerned with the ongoing legal disputes surrounding the unresolved issue about the war reparations that Germany still owes Greece. Rather, my interest is related to an unacknowledged and serious part of the damages that the German occupation brought upon the country as a result of the brief yet catastrophic presence of Hitler's armies in the land.
More precisely, I am raising the broader issue about the breadth of the catastrophes the German occupation forces brought to the status of Greece's culture, beyond the already listed types of damage to the land, the people, and the official institutions of the country.

Το 1848 έχει μείνει στην Ιστορία ως η χρονιά της πρώτης και μόνης, έως τώρα, παγκόσμιας λαϊκής επανάστασης, η οποία μεταδόθηκε με πρωτοφανή ταχύτητα σε ολόκληρη την Ευρώπη, σαρώνοντας, σε διάστημα ολίγων εβδομάδων, ανακτοβούλια και φεουδαρχικά καθεστώτα αιώνων.

Επρόκειτο, σύμφωνα με τους ιστορικούς, για την επανάσταση του φτωχού λαού, των καταδυναστευόμενων εργατών στην αυγή της βιομηχανικής εποχής και στην πρώτη της φάση υποστηρίχθηκε από την ανερχόμενη αστική τάξη και την καταπιεσμένη αγροτιά, που ζούσε ακόμη τότε υπό το καθεστώς της δουλοπαροικίας.

Προοίμιό της αποτέλεσε η έκδοση από τον Καρλ Μαρξ, την ίδια χρονιά, του Κομμουνιστικού Μανιφέστου. Και ορίσθηκε από ένα πρωτοφανές και μοναδικό κύμα απελευθέρωσης.

L’histoire des croisades n’était pas terminée. De cela, tout le groupe de choc en était conscient. Certes l’histoire officielle mettait une fin à cette entreprise de contre-attaque. Mais la réalité de l’attaque n’avait pas cessé un instant. Aussi malgré l’indifférence de la plupart des gens, de la société de l’oubli, le groupe de chocs s’était préparé à livrer bataille pour le grand bleu.
