President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Wednesday expressed his "shame" at crimes committed during Germany's colonial rule in Tanzania and pledged to raise awareness of the atrocities in his own country.

Aircraft debris thought to be from MH370 to be examined
A piece of possible aircraft debris which washed up on Pemba Island off the coast of Tanzania last month has arrived in Australia for examination, according to a joint statement from the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) and the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) Malaysia.

Suspected MH370 debris to be analysed in Tanzania
Aircraft debris found off the Tanzanian island of Zanzibar was handed over to the authorities today for analysis to determine if it is from missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.
