Argentina seeks legal case against US in The Hague (Debt battle)

Argentina has asked the world court in The Hague to launch proceedings against the United States over Argentine sovereign debt, the latest move in the South American country's long-standing dispute with holdout creditors.

A statement issued by the International Court of Justice, the UN's highest court for disputes between nations, said the request had been "transmitted to the US Government. 

However, no action will be taken in the proceedings unless and until" Washington accepts the court's jurisdiction.

Argentina to urge Citibank, BONY to pay bondholders...

The Argentine Government will formally demand that Citibank and the Bank of New York Mellon pay exchange bondholders, the Economy Ministry informed today in a press release.
“Citibank and BONY must distribute payments made by the Argentine Republic to exchange bondholders, as well as guarantee future payments become effective,” the press release reads.
The Ministry claims those funds “belong to exchange bondholders” and blames New York district judge Thomas Griesa for “inappropriately blocking” the payments.

Argentina (government) calls for legal actions against vulture funds

Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich reiterated that Argentina will call for an inquiry for “fraudulent maneuvers” and urged “bondholders, trustees and clearing agencies” to also take legal action against the vulture funds.

“Argentina will take actions through the Security and Exchange Comission (CNV) for an inquiry on fraudulent maneuvers on credit default swaps,” stated Capitanich in his daily press briefing at government house.

He accused vulture funds of “acting on privileged information” against “markets’ transparency”. The Kirchnerite official pointed out that the government is analyzing several legal alternatives against the holdouts, and said “bondholders, trustees and clearing agencies should take actions” too.

Σύμφωνα με τον Οσβάλντο Γκόμες μεγάλος αριθμός τουριστών ανέβηκε σε μια από τις πέτρινες πυραμίδες, αν και αυτό απαγορεύεται αυστηρά. Ο φύλακας δεν διευκρίνισε ποιες ακριβώς ζημιές προκλήθηκαν στην πυραμίδα, ωστόσο πρόσθεσε ότι είναι αδύνατο να αποκατασταθούν οι βλάβες στα σημεία, που επλήγησαν.

Στη δημόσια και πανεπιστημιακή βιβλιοθήκη της Σαξωνίας στη γερμανική Δρέσδη συρρέει τους τελευταίους μήνες πληθώρα επισκεπτών σε μεγέθη ρεκόρ.
Καθώς πλησιάζει η 21η Δεκεμβρίου, ημέρα, η οποία δήθεν σύμφωνα με την πρόβλεψη των Μάγια θα είναι η τελευταία στην ιστορία της ανθρωπότητας, πλήθη τουριστών στέκονται στην ουρά για να αντικρίσουν το χειρόγραφο βιβλίο αυτού του αρχαίου λαού, που φυλάσσεται στη βιβλιοθήκη.

ΝΑΣΑ: Το μόνο που θα συμβεί στις 21/12 είναι το χειμερινό ηλιοστάσιο

Καθησυχαστικό μήνυμα για την 21η Δεκεμβρίου που έχει «διαφημιστεί» ως το τέλος του κόσμου με βάση το ημερολόγιο των Μάγια, έχει αναγκαστεί να αναρτήσει στην ιστοσελίδα της η ΝΑΣΑ, διαβεβαιώνοντας ότι το μόνο που θα συμβεί την εν λόγω μέρα είναι το χειμερινό ηλιοστάσιο.

«Στις 21 Δεκεμβρίου του 2012 δεν θα έρθει το τέλος του κόσμου όπως τον ξέρουμε, ωστόσο θα έχουμε ένα ακόμη χειμερινό ηλιοστάσιο» γράφει η ΝΑΣΑ στην ιστοσελίδα της, όπου με την βοήθεια επιστημόνων απαντά στις αγωνίες των απλών ανθρώπων οι οποίοι ενδεχομένως να μην έχουν πειστεί ότι η Γη θα υπάρχει και μετά τις 21/12/2012.

NASA about 21 December Doomsday: “It will be another winter solstice”

Oh boy, it’s this time of the year again: grab your supplies and head on to the bunker, cause the world is ending – again. The popular Mayan conspiracy theory that the world is ending on December 21 has made a surprisingly high number of adept, and NASA had to step in. They released quite an interesting post [1], explaining why this is all just shenanigans. First up, the Mayan calendar:
he belief that a now extinct civilization could somehow predict the end of the world thousands of years after their demise does seem a little sci-fi itself. Second up: the giant devastating planet Nibiru [2].

Survival kits and trips to hell, doomsday hysteria grips Russia

Doomsday hysteria has gripped Russia and some of its neighbors. Travel agencies are selling tours to either heaven or hell and people are stocking up on food and fuel. Officials are publicly denying the apocalypse, hoping to calm the hype.
Those awaiting Doomsday have three weeks to finish their preparations before the date of the much publicized apocalypse allegedly predicted by Mayan calendar, that is going to happen on December 21, 2012.
Thousands of people across Russia keep stocking up their back rooms and balconies with food, fuel and other supplies they might need when disaster strikes. Some are even moving outside of cities because of the widely spread rumors that cities would be impossible to survive in after an apocalypse on Earth.
