It is fully confident that the Hong Kong government can handle the situation in accordance with the law and resolutely supports such handling," a spokesperson for the State Council's Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office said Sunday afternoon.

Libya militia vows to pursue renegade army leader

Libya's Ansar al-Sharia militant group vowed on Tuesday to pursue ex-army commander Khalifa Haftar, who has waged an offensive in the eastern city of Benghazi that the central government in Tripoli has called an attempted "coup."
"We will deal with any military incursion in Benghazi the way we dealt with [late Libyan strongman] Muammar Gaddafi and his brigades in 2011," the group said in a press statement.

Ukraine sends special unit to Odessa to restore order after police station attacked

DONETSK, Ukraine — Ukraine’s interim government has dispatched a special police unit to Odessa to help restore order there after pro-Russian militants attacked a police station and freed 67 of their allies who had been detained during violent clashes that claimed 46 lives, its top security official said Monday.

WHITE HOUSE — The White House said Tuesday that Ukraine's actions against pro-Russian separatists in the country's eastern region are called for because of the threat to law and order in the country.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Turkey would do what was necessary to restore permanent order in Balkans, Middle East and Caucasus.

Speaking at a conference, Davutoglu said that Turkey targeted to be among top ten economies of the world by 2023, adding that Turkey would extend economic borders into Asia and Africa.

He said that economic borders would be extended, while political borders would remain stable.
