Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said on Friday the outcome of Israel launching a ground war on the Gaza Strip will be “a humanitarian catastrophe of epic proportions.”
“Israel just launched a ground war on Gaza. Outcome will be a humanitarian catastrophe of epic proportions for years to come,” Safadi said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
“Voting against Arab UNGA resolution means approving this senseless war, this senseless killing,” he added.
“Millions will be watching every vote. History will judge.”

- Israeli tanks are moving toward the Gaza Strip in an area near the city of Beit Hanoun located in the north of the Palestinian enclave, the Sky News Arabia television channel said on Friday, citing local sources.
According to the television channel, the sounds of shooting and explosions are heard on the enclave’s northern border. The Al Arabiya television channel reports massive shelling of the city of Beit Lahia. The Israeli military is reportedly firing target-indicting flares over Gaza’s northern areas.
Jawwal, a Palestinian telecom provider, said earlier in the day that it had stopped providing mobile phone and internet services in the Gaza Strip following Israel’s massive attacks.
