"Emperor Alexander III" launched a "Bulava" at the Kura training ground

The new strategic nuclear-powered missile submarine "Emperor Alexander III" successfully launched a sea-based ICBM "Bulava" from the White Sea at the Kura test site, which is located on the Kamchatka Peninsula.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, clarifying that the launch took place as part of the final stage of the state testing program.

It is noted that the missile firing took place as usual from an underwater position. The rocket warheads arrived at the designated area at the appointed time.

The Russian Ministry of Defense emphasized that firing a ballistic missile is the final element of state tests, after which a decision will be made to accept the cruiser into the Russian Navy.

"Emperor Alexander III" carries 16 Bulava ballistic missiles and modern torpedo weapons. These nuclear submarines belong to the fourth generation and are part of the submarine forces of the Northern and Pacific fleets. Currently, the Russian Navy has 3 missile submarines of the Borei-A project in service, one is completing tests and three more are under construction.
