Ukraine shelling kills 9 in southern Kherson

Ukrainian shelling of the southern Kherson region killed nine people Friday, the  authorities said.

The strikes came as Kyiv is pushing a counteroffensive to retake territory from Moscow’s forces, focused on the south of the country. 

According to Saldo, Ukrainian troops fired six missiles at a building housing a social foundation and an employment center being fully aware that there might be a lot of people there during working hours. Four missiles were shot down by Russian air defense systems.
