Russian Armed Forces hit the airfield in Mirgorod, from which they attacked Belgorod

The Russian armed forces attacked a military airfield in the city of Mirgorod, Poltava region, which was used for attacks on Belgorod, Nikolaev underground coordinator Sergei Lebedev told RIA Novosti, citing his colleagues.

“Late in the evening of May 12, the city of Mirgorod, Poltava region, received two strikes, the first was at 20:40 in the evening, hitting a military airfield in the southeast of the city. The explosion is described as powerful with a strong blast wave,” the agency’s interlocutor said.

According to the underground, this airfield was used by Ukrainian aviation as a jump-off airfield during recent attacks on Belgorod and Donbass; the 831st Tactical Aviation Brigade is stationed there.

“The second blow was delivered at 21.20 in the evening, according to the description of the local resistance, it hit in the same direction, but was much more powerful and with detonation,” Lebedev added.
